LAYALI AL-ANDALUS OJALÁ/INSHALLAH SEASON OPENING GALA

An enchanting evening of Arab Classical music with the National Arab Orchestra and special guests.

Layali al-Andalus, or “Andalusian Nights” is our season-launch celebration. In a nod to al-Andalus and Moorish Spain, the National Arab Orchestra will be joined by esteemed Flamenco guitarist Jose Luis de la Paz and guest singers Marian Layousse, Usama Baalbaki, Alejandro Gambimbas and Susana Behar.

Dedicated to performing and preserving the classical and contemporary traditions of Arab music, this 24-member ensemble features violins and cellos alongside traditional instruments such as oud, qanun (zither), nay (reed flute) and a percussion section including riqq (Arab tambourine).
